MUSHROOM CULTIVATION

Along with apiary, animal rearing, vegetable we inclined to grow mushrooms at EA Farms. Due to hot weather at the time of the project, we weren’t that successful in growing them at commercial levels. We are working towards producing mushrooms that can be commercially viable. We will be growing commercial food graded edible mushrooms at EA Farms. We will explore possibilities of growing edible mushrooms including Button (Agaricus bisporus), Pearl Oyster (Pleurotus ostreatus) Shiitake (Lentinula edodes) . Mushrooms contain carbohydrates, fat, protein, vitamins, minerals and elements. Mushrooms also have medicinal properties and have been significantly used for medicinal purposes all over the Globe.
